I’m Chris Dabbs — newsreader, voiceover, broadcaster, podcast consultant and the guy behind Podlings.co.uk, where we help schools finally break up with the dusty old newsletter.
You know the one — crumpled at the bottom of the school bag, skim-read (if at all), and guaranteed to make parents feel out of the loop! Especially families where English isn’t the first language.
Instead, imagine parents hitting play on Spotify or YouTube and hearing their own kids explain a class project, share a trip story, or even interview the local mayor. That’s the kind of magic we make happen.
I’ve spent 20+ years in front of a mic as a voiceover, in media with the BBC, Times Radio and ITV News, so I know how to turn small voices into big stories. Now I use that experience to help teachers slash workload, give pupils a confidence boost, and hand Ofsted rock-solid evidence of “pupil voice.”
I’m also a PhD researcher in Audio Journalism, exploring how podcasts build community.
