‘Veel te Phil’ is a no holds barred radio show both on regional (ZO!34.nl) and Dutch national radio (Radio4all.nl). Here to entertain, inform and sometimes disrupt the listening audience with a dose of absurdist and sometimes edgy humor
I like music (anything with guitars will do the trick for me, really), and have a keen interest in different fields varying from media & entertainment, current events, science and (world) history. I have a keen interest in (American) pop culture, literature, art, films and TV shows. I’m really into sci-fi as well, especially anything Star Wars-related. I really dig comedy too; and my type of humor may seem somewhat off beat. Do I like sports? Nah. Not really, though I follow Formula 1 racing and root for Max Verstappen. Obviously.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands with Polish parentage: my Polish grandfather was a paratrooper with the Sosabowski brigade and met my Dutch grandmother in the area where he was stationed after WW2. That’s why I also developed a keen interest in anything history related, especially martial world history.
I fought depression making radio: call it radio therapy, if you will. Guess that’s why I might call myself my very own dr. Phil. I make intuitive radio; every show is a a form of improvisational performance art where music and spoken word blend in eclectically.
