The Writers Mic's Radio is a platform for thoughtful conversations with authors whose books invite readers to look more closely at the world around them.
We interview authors across a wide range of subjects, including history, culture, identity, education, research, society, literature, civic life, and the experiences that shape our understanding of people and communities.
Our conversations go beyond simply introducing a book. We explore what inspired the author to write it, the questions and experiences behind the work, the research or ideas that shaped it, and the larger themes readers can take away from the conversation.
We welcome traditionally published, independently published, and emerging authors with meaningful stories and perspectives to share. Interviews are generally recorded remotely and run approximately 30–45 minutes.
We're especially interested in authors who enjoy thoughtful, genuine conversation and are willing to take listeners behind the book to the ideas, discoveries, challenges, experiences, and motivations that brought the work to life.
If you're an author with a book you'd like to discuss, we'd be glad to hear from you.
