Welcome to Mija, Stay Mad! — the unapologetic, grounded sequel to Maybe This Is How It Starts!

A year later.

When conventional therapy stopped working, Maybe This Is How It Starts became the stage for experimentation and a desperate search to heal a broken inner child. And we found her. We healed her and gave her a softer life. We found bacon, rainbows, and sunshine; everything else we couldn’t find, we purchased.

Until the hypnosis wore off. And let me tell you, I found that while I was no longer angry, I was still mad, lit, and on fire. Mad about building a life rooted in freedom, passion, and softness. Mad and entitled. Honoring and cashing the hall pass my ancestors never had.

Mija, Stay Mad! is a love letter from a true first-gen, sharing stories from a time before the term was even coined. A millennial walking boldly into midlife: healed but unfiltered, soft but on fire. This podcast is for the ones who dream loud, quit at their own pace, and fight for a freedom that does not need to be prescribed. Mija, you’ll be my age one day. One day, I’ll be your ancestor. And when that time comes, I want you to remember to stay mad, stay lit, and stay bold in your own way.

We’ll play with woo-woo while bridging generations of womanhood, identity, and truth. Let’s celebrate womanhood, and those who support us in building the bridge to happiness by creating and holding space for each other.
