Constellation

Constellation is a long-form conversation project driven by curiosity.

There isn’t a particular niche or type of guest I’m looking for. I’m interested in people with unusual stories, experiences, perspectives, fields of work, obsessions or crafts, or simply something they find deeply interesting or think deeply about.

I’m Tan, based in Melbourne, Australia. I’ve always been curious about a lot of different things and tend to ask people a lot of questions. Some of my favourite conversations have come from meeting someone, becoming curious about their life or what they know, and following that curiosity. I figured I’d start recording those conversations and see where they lead.

The conversations are relaxed and open-ended rather than a predetermined list of interview questions. We’ll start somewhere we’re both curious about and see where the conversation goes. I’m also open to difficult, personal, controversial or unconventional subjects if they arise naturally.

I’m just starting out, so I’m currently looking for some of the first people to have these conversations with.
