May 2024: We are fully booked for season three. Unfortunately, we're unsure if we're moving forward with a fourth season due to increasing costs and time to produce a high-quality show. If we decide to produce a season four, we will come back from being away.

Ideal guests:

1. MUST identify within the LGBTQ+ community
2. Are open and willing to share parts of their story (boundaries always respected, though vulnerability is a major part of the show)

There is no exception for allies outside of the LGBTQ+ community to be a guest on the show.

The format is conversational. I screen all guests with an initial 30-minute meeting to ensure a good mutual fit.

Allyship is a Verb features conversations with LGBTQ+ community members of various lived experiences and backgrounds who share their stories and an allyship tip. The host, Charlie Ocean, MSW (they/them), has a background in LGBTQ+ education, community organizing, and social work. They're a silly, warm human who offers self-reflection questions and voiceovers to help deepen the learning for listeners.
