My name is Marty, I've been a language coach for nearly half a decade, and it is my pleasure to invite you to be an honorable guest on my podcast, 21st Century Expression with Marty Education.
It's a podcast for not only language learners and teachers, but anybody that wants or needs to improve how they communicate and interact with others. We cover topics such as best study methods, how you've achieved your language success, tips on becoming and staying motivated , and overcoming our mental barriers in life.
I'm fascinated by communication patterns and habits we all acquire, and if you're an expert in verbal or non-verbal communication, psychology, emotions or language, this is the place for you!
I'm also very interested in expanding the podcast to also how we use language in various situations, such as the differences of talking to a friend vs. a colleague. How does our intonation change? Our choice of words? Do we employ any speech techniques that are different? How about when we try to persuade, negotiate, or make someone trust us? How does our language change?
On top of that, we also have to be acutely aware that when it comes to personal communication, words only account for a measly 7%, with 38% being our voice and 55% our body language. Which means that as both students and educators, we have to be intensely aware of how we're presenting ourselves to the world.
