I’m a family physician, entrepreneur, author, speaker, husband to a powerhouse woman, and father to 2 fantastic boys.
Over the years, I’ve discovered my passion for looking at the big picture, particularly in regards to health. I want to empower people to keep it simple and focus on what matters most. This led me to write my book, Healthier You: A Family Doctor's Guide to the Fundamentals of Better Living.
In my career as a family doctor for the past 15+ years, I’ve been struck by how worried my patients are about their health, yet also how they are often worried about the wrong stuff. I want to spread the science-based message of what matters most so people can spend their time, energy, and resources on those areas that have the biggest impact.
I'm a full-time practicing family physician and owner of The Core Family Health Centre, a multi-disciplinary medical clinic. I am passionate about primary care and the fundamentals of good health and healthy lifestyles.
In addition, I am involved in trying to find ways to improve the care that family doctors provide to patients - through the promotion of Advanced Access scheduling, electronic medical record usage, quality improvement, general system improvements and now a focus on the fundamentals of healthy living.
I am also passionate about education and am an adjunct professor at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. In addition, I am the co-founder, with my wife, Andrea Nair, of Infinity School: An Acton Academy.
