Victoria Simmonds

Hello,

I am an independent singer-songwriter and actress. I grew up in both England and France and have been in the entertainments industry for over 15yrs working in various sectors around Europe including short films, musical theatre, teaching, music and voice-overs. in 2016 I started recording my own music (pop/rock - indie - alt pop - alt rock), which has influences from Fleetwood Mac, Ed Sheeran, P!nk, Alanis Morissette and Adele. In 2023 I was on BBC Introducing with my latest song "Still a long way to go" and hope to get more in the future. My music centres around features and events in my life, each with a different story behind them including love, depression, care and thought provoking moments. I find that when I look back on some of the songs I see them in a different light and find nuances I didn't realise were there. The aim of my music is for others to connect with the song and be able to take something away from it.

I have 2 more songs being released this year, a concert in November and one in January. I have also voiced a character in an animated film that will be released this Christmas.

I have lots of experience on podcasts as I am a regular guest on Siren.fm where I not only talk about my own music but talk to other guests on a variety of different subjects including literature, events, and food. I am also part of the film review and debate team. I have also been on other podcasts including "Alzheimer's Speaks". Each one broadening my horizons.

I feel that my independent journey has only just begun and will push it as far as I can.
