I have been working in the book and publishing industry for over two decades. I began my career in bookstores, but my love of books led me to get a degree in Publishing and eventually build a career in publishing. I have worked for several publishers, been freelancing for years, and currently, work as an Acquisitions Editor and Head of the Structural Editing department at a Hybrid publisher called Manuscripts. My perspective on traditional publishing, self-publishing, and hybrid publishing has shifted so much over the years and has ultimately led me to a better (aka happier) place as an editor and industry professional.
