“Meditation author (New World Library) & teacher of effortless meditation, presence & awakening. Host of the Wild Garden of Enlightenment.”
Tobin Blake is the author of three books on meditation, mind-body healing and spiritual awakening, published by New World Library — including The Power of Stillness and Everyday Meditation, which was named one of the top 100 books of 2012 by Conversations Magazine. Bernie Siegel, MD, wrote the foreword to his book on spiritual healing.
Tobin's work harnesses a blend of the teachings of A Course in Miracles, Zen, Taoism, and those of India's great non-dual sages, with a focus on effortless meditation, deep forgiveness, and the experience of pure presence. He's a storyteller by nature — weaving in "living dreams," miracles, and tales of the great masters to make deep teachings land in a memorable, human way.
He has taught meditation at Central Oregon Community College, healing centers, spirituality bookstores, yoga studios along with many other venues, and developed a clinical meditation program for St. Charles Medical Center. He has been a guest on dozens of radio and local television shows, and hosts his own podcast, The Wild Garden of Enlightenment, for serious practitioners of awakening.
Tobin works comfortably with both beginners and advanced students on topics as common as how to find more peace in daily life, relationships, sexuality, discovering one's true life purpose, as well as deeper topics like presence, the nature of awareness, the dark night of the soul, what happens after death, revelation, and enlightenment. He also speaks candidly about his own path to freedom from addiction through awareness and acceptance.
