“I’m an Anti-Diet Body Image Coach, helping people to have a peaceful relationship with food & body without giving in to societal standards.”
I struggled with body image and constant dieting and weight cycling all my life. I was convinced I just hadn’t found the right diet to make me the thin person I assume I could be.
I tried everything and every Monday from around the age of 17 was spent planning and starting yet another diet and exercise plan.
every year I gained more and more weight and I was unable to eat in a relaxed way.
I couldn’t enjoy foods with my family, I was terrified of going out for meals incase it took me way off plan.
Every diet I tried would result in a huge binge when I just couldn’t do it any longer.
2 decades of this cycle continued and after I had my second child I couldn’t face it anymore.
In 2017 I found a podcast about anti-diet and why diets are designed to fail and I knew I had to learn more.
the more I discovered about diet culture and how harmful it is I knew I couldn’t turn back.
Through my own recovery from constant diet cycling and binge eating I wanted to help others do the same to find peace around food and leave diet culture behind.
I now coach others to start their own journey towards food and body freedom.
I also cohost a podcast called The Anti-Diet Club Podcast.
