Dr Susan Pearce is a senior executive, engineer, and health advocate working at the intersection of systems leadership, community wellbeing, and national policy. With a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a career spanning mining, energy, defence, consulting, and healthcare, she brings an engineering mindset to complex human and organisational challenges.
She is CEO of the Australian General Practice Network, leading advocacy and service delivery to strengthen general practice, improve access to care, and embed prevention into Australia’s health system. Her current focus includes breast screening participation, dementia support, respiratory disease prevention, and ovarian cancer research.
Susan is a Fellow of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Engineer in Leadership and Management, a Registered Professional Engineer, and an Engineering Executive. She has chaired both the South Australian Mechanical College and Leadership College of Engineers Australia and maintains her engineering registration and continuing professional development.
She is also President of BPW SA, where she champions women’s representation, health equity, and systemic change, particularly for rural communities and women in STEM.
