I started as an SEO nerd before most people knew what SEO was. I always joked it stood for Stephan's Employment Opportunities (yes expect dad jokes). That obsession led me to co-found Conductor - an SEO SaaS company we scaled to a half-billion dollar valuation (we were bought by the giant WeWork and bought ourselves back before it imploded).

I spent 14 years there building a number of teams from scratch, most notably a 65-person global SEO professional services team, walking into boardrooms at FedEx, Uber, Johns Hopkins, and hundreds of other major brands to help them actually make SEO work inside their organizations.

Then I became a CMO at a vacation rental SaaS startup. I figured it was time to see how the other half lived. Built out a 12 person multi channel marketing team and owned the market.

Then I co-founded my digital agency VibeLogic, because AI just changed everything about how people search, and most businesses have no idea what to do about it.

I've lived every side of this industry: the nerd, the builder, the executive, the entrepreneur. I don't talk theory. I talk from bold scars, wins, lots of losses and two decades of watching search evolve in real time.
