“Revenue leader who helped scale a startup from pre-revenue to ~$10M ARR. I talk growth, pricing, leadership, PE, and scaling.”
I'm Spencer Blanchard, a revenue leader who's spent the last decade in the messy middle of growing companies.
I helped take HuntWise from pre-revenue to roughly $10M ARR and through an acquisition, and today I'm a Chief Revenue Officer responsible for building and leading the commercial side of a growing consumer business.
Most of what I like talking about comes from actually having to do the work.
I've carried the number, built teams, made pricing decisions, worked through acquisitions and private equity ownership, hired people who were great and people I got completely wrong, spent money that worked and money that absolutely didn't, and learned what starts breaking when a company gets bigger.
I'm especially interested in the parts of growth that tend to get cleaned up when people tell the story afterward.
How do you know when founder-led sales has run its course?
What actually changes when private equity enters the picture?
Why do companies wait too long to build systems and processes?
How do you raise prices without talking yourself out of it?
What happens when yesterday's big win becomes next year's baseline?
How do you build a revenue organization that doesn't depend on one heroic person?
And what do you learn when you're part of a small team building something together for years?
I don't have a proprietary seven-step framework to sell. I'd much rather talk through what actually happened, what worked, what didn't, and what I'd do differently now.
I'm comfortable sharing real numbers, specific decisions, mistakes, and opinions I'll happily defend.
If your audience is made up of founders, operators, executives, investors, marketers or people trying to build a company through the awkward stages of growth, we'll probably have a good conversation.
