About Me

Hello - thank you for taking the time to read this.

I spent 25 years in the corporate world working for some of the biggest names in industry. On the face of it I was very successful and had the kind of life most would dream of - earning huge amounts of money, big houses, cars, holidays, a beautiful wife and all the trappings of a life revolving around materialism and corporate reward.

But the truth is that while everything looked great on the face of it, I was suffering in silence underneath it - addicted to prescription painkillers, drinking heavily, behaving callously and selfishly towards family, friends and colleagues, hurting other people who didn't deserve it and on a path of self destruction that led to me forcing open a hotel window in London and attempting to take my own life.

That moment changed my life and whilst shame played its part in giving me willpower to take responsibility for previous wrongs, I realised that the sincerest apology I could give to was to exhibit a consistent change of behaviour and make kindness my default.

Since then I have dedicated myself to building a happier, more balanced life and made it a mission to help others who are in need of similar support. It is vital that people recognise the signs of a "corporate" burnout before it happens and understand how they can adjust their life to reduce the exposure to corporate world's warped definition of success.

I regularly speak at events and internal meetings using relatable experiences, anecdotes and proven practices to show people it's OK to talk about how they feel, that there's a way through it all and crucially, that you can come out of the other side feeling stronger, happier and more in control of your life.

All my content is my own and based on personal experience using terminology, acronyms and anecdotes that truly resonate with people - from being told it was acceptable to have affairs and that I would be provided with alibi’s to unwittingly being counselled by Jack Welch on a flight to Scotland...
