As a single mother of twins on a teacher's salary I was in the poverty cycle that, unfortunately, many teachers see. I had many side jobs while teaching to make the extra income needed to provide for me and my twins. However, those side gigs all ended up leaving me in even more debt.
I find it hard to believe that in the time we are living in that, termination over an OnlyFans account is even acceptable. It makes me question the intentions of the original article which was written by a follower of my O.F. Acct demonizing me and ultimately getting me removed from my teaching position. Every being has a sexual side. Every being expresses their sexual side in different ways. Some people understand and are open to trying and doing new things as others are not, and that's okay. It's all a matter of preference. What someone does in their spare time is their business, and no one else's especially when it’s kept away from children.
My story is important because it brings to light the double standard that exists for men and women when it comes to sex work. If a man were to do the same thing, I highly doubt he would face the same consequences. My boss at the time even encouraged me to create an O.F. to make side money instead of giving me a raise so it’s very ironic that he fired me for taking his advice.
I believe my story needs to be told in order to help other people in the same situation. It provides a unique perspective on the challenges that many women face. I would be happy to set up an interview at your convenience!
