Robert Jordan

Robert Jordan, originally from Saint Remy, New York, was active in sports and the Future Farmers of America during his youth. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1977 and later earned an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Ulster County Community College. Several years after that, he received another Associate of Arts degree in Political Science from the same college and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany. In December 1992, he was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society. In February 1993, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

During his time in the Navy, Robert was stationed in various locations, including international analytical assignments, serving afloat and ashore, and in support roles for Naval Special Warfare and the Army Operations Group. Among his numerous deployments, Robert served five tours of duty in Afghanistan. Robert retired from the Navy in October 2019 while serving at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

Following his retirement, Robert worked as a Navy contractor and senior analyst. He later became an International Disaster Relief Operations Manager for the Christian Broadcasting Network's Operation Blessing. Additionally, he earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Regent University in the summer of 2021. He graduated from Regent University School of Psychology and Counseling with a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling in May 2024. Robert is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Regent University.

Robert is a published author who shares his life experiences, historical and philosophical insights, and biblically-based content, including a series of teen novelettes. He has also collaborated with his granddaughter to publish a series of children's bedtime stories. His work has earned him three International Impact Book Awards. Furthermore, Robert has published a series of therapeutic books titled Emotional Healing: Coloring Pages for Those Living With PTSD. His latest book is The Warmth of the Gospel, Book II: An Anthology of Short Stories. He actively serves as a men’s ministry leader for Celebrate Recovery at Essential Church in Virginia Beach and hosts an international prayer group. Today, Robert is retired but continues to serve others as the host of The Veterans Outlook Podcast. He is involved in fundraising efforts to support and feed Afghan allies left behind following the fall of Kabul in August 2021. He is also the Director of Bright Future Philanthropy Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on vocational training for girls in Afghanistan, which includes a subsidiary called Feeding the Widows of Kabul.

Robert's life story is one of overcoming adversity, heartache, heartbreak, and finding redemption through the love, mercy, and grace of the Lord. His life is rich in experience and fraught with failure. But through it all, Robert found triumph with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Today, Robert is committed to selflessly meeting the needs of those in need and those at risk, whether here at home or abroad.
