“Marine Veteran | Community Leader | Recovery Advocate | Former Congressional Candidate | Host of The Rob Cooper Show”
I’m Rob Cooper, a Marine veteran, community leader, recovery advocate, nonprofit CEO, and former congressional candidate. My story hasn’t followed a straight line, and that’s exactly why I believe I bring something different to the conversation.
I served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps, including a deployment to Iraq. After leaving the military, I faced some difficult chapters in my own life, including addiction, incarceration, and rebuilding from the ground up. Those experiences ultimately led my wife and me to co-found Zero Hour Life Center, a Recovery Community Organization focused on helping people and families find their own pathway to recovery.
Today, I lead that organization as CEO and advocate for stronger recovery services, veterans, working families, and communities that too often feel overlooked.
In 2026, I took that commitment to public service a step further and ran for Congress in Florida. I didn't win the primary, but the experience strengthened my belief that leadership can't begin and end with an election.
I enjoy real conversations about leadership, recovery, veterans, politics, public service, entrepreneurship, second chances, and what working people are actually dealing with. I’m not interested in talking points for the sake of talking points. I bring lived experience, strong opinions, and a willingness to have thoughtful conversations—even when we don't agree.
