Richard Grundy is the President & CEO of AVTECH Software, the manufacturer of Room Alert proactive environment monitoring solutions. He is a 22-year company veteran who, prior to being named CEO, held the titles of COO, Vice President and Director of Engineering.
Under Rick's guidance, AVTECH has introduced countless new products to the marketplace and has opened international locations in Ireland and the United Arab Emirates. Under Richard’s leadership AVTECH entered their 35th anniversary in 2023 with record-setting customer growth, and their Room Alert products can be found in 187 of 196 countries.
Rick's leadership skills, wealth of knowledge and strategic vision was also a key role in AVTECH's acquisition of their primary manufacturer Mirian Solutions, allowing AVTECH to maintain full control over their supply chain.
Rick assumes responsibility for overseeing all executive leadership and strategic execution at AVTECH. He manages day to day operations of the business, including product engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and strategic execution at AVTECH and Mirian.
Richard graduated summa cum laude from the computer science program at Wentworth Institute of Technology, with additional concentrations in mechanical and electrical engineering. He currently serves on the board of trustees at Wentworth and was recognized as one of the Rhode Island 40 Under Forty Business Leaders in 2019.
