About Me

I'm a CHRO, author, speaker, and longtime HR practitioner who believes leaders don't need to be perfect—they need to be present.

After more than 25 years in HR and organizational leadership, I've learned that the hardest parts of leading people aren't found in textbooks. They happen in uncomfortable conversations, decisions we second-guess, mistakes we have to own, and moments when we're expected to lead others while navigating our own very human struggles.

As the author of Leading While Human: Notes I Wish Someone Had Given Me, I speak candidly about human-centered leadership, mental health, psychological safety, belonging, vulnerability, and the lessons I've learned from getting leadership right—and getting it wrong.

I don't offer leadership from a pedestal. I bring real stories, practical experience, humor, and a willingness to talk about the things we often leave unsaid. I believe some of our best leadership begins when we stop trying to look like we have it all figured out.
