I always thought I was normal until repeatedly I have been told I should write a book. Since we all have the same 24 hours a day, I figured a Podcast would maximize the time it takes to tell my story in the hopes that it might inspire others that there are no limits to what you can accomplish if it's important to you.
I have been a Mortgage Loan Officer for 29 years. I am a mother of 9 children, eight of whom are adopted both internationally and through the foster care system. I am a Foster Mother of 25+ children over the past 15 years. I am no stranger to trauma and its effects on children. I have experienced first-hand "What doesn't kill you makes you Stronger" I am passionate about Charity work. I serve on The Children of Ethiopia Education Fund board where I take youth on humanitarian trips to Africa annually for the past 10 years. I also serve on the Primary Children's Hospital Cancer, Brain Tumor, Transplant Family Advisory board for the past 4 years. I have taken my family and many additional youth down to Mexico for 6 years to build houses with Builders Without Borders in lieu of a traditional Christmas. I am a firm believer that you can find the time and energy to accomplish anything in life that is important to you. My favorite phrase is "Talk is Cheap, It's Actions that Speak." I live by this and try to inspire those I come in contact with as I choose to take as many people as I can along with me on this crazy journey called life.
