Hi! I am Rachel,
A Welsh lady living in the Land Down Under. I am a Speech Pathologist, new Business owner, Elklan Tutor and beach lover!
I have a passion in working with children and young people to develop their communication skills - what I believe is a basic human right! My passion for this has served me in my career as a Speech Pathologist and has led me to setting up my own business delivering Specialist Elklan training to Parents, caregivers, Educators and Childcare workers on supporting Speech, Language and Communication skills in children.
I am keen to spread the word about all things Communication Development and support people to feel empowered when raising or working with those with a Communication disability. As a Speech Pathologist I certainly can talk for days, but have refined my public speaking through delivering training and coaching families across my career.
Whilst I have never appeared on a podcast before, I am keen and excited to find a platform to share my knowledge with parents, caregivers and Educators to allow them to feel inspired, excited and ready to help those with and without communication needs. I can share information in short, snappy, comprehendible chunks and give take away tips which would be suited to a podcast platform.
