Piper O'Connell

I grew up in a rainforest in Far North Queensland.Between the ages of 15 and 18, I was an event organiser for School Strike 4 Climate and the co-founder of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition in Far North Queensland. During this time I met with politicians to discuss the climate crisis, the impact it would have on marginalised communities, policy reform, and wildlife conservation. In 2021, I collaborated with Larissa Waters updating the Respect@Work bill.
