I’m Nitin Khanna, CFA, Founder and President of N3 Business Advisors, Canada’s leading construction-focused M&A advisory firm.
For almost two decades, I’ve advised construction company owners on succession planning, acquisitions, business value creation, and exit strategies. My work sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, private capital, and the skilled trades, with a focus on the businesses that build and maintain the physical economy: contractors, trades, infrastructure companies, building suppliers, engineering firms, and equipment providers.
Before founding N3, I held leadership roles across construction, banking, and asset management, including Carillion Construction, Aecon Construction, TD Bank Group, and TransGlobe Asset Management. I also hold the CFA and CAIA designations.
I enjoy podcast conversations about construction industry trends, ownership succession, M&A activity, private company valuations, skilled-trades businesses, profitability, leadership, and building companies that are less dependent on the owner.
I also write Mastering the Business of Construction, a newsletter read by more than 20,000 professionals across the sector. My goal is to help owners who build the physical world access the same strategic business knowledge as founders in Silicon Valley and executives on Wall Street.
