Nicolas Buteau is a seasoned entrepreneur, angel investor and leader in the tech space. He is Founder and CEO of Yayem. His career has spanned lifestyle publishing, hedge funds, and most thematically: high growth tech. As one of the earliest hires at Uber in 2012, Buteau led Uber as Recruiter #1 internationally. As an advocate for diversity, he built and ran Uber's recruiting function in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, scaling a community of 2000+ employees across 45 countries. Buteau was then headhunted to be Global Head of Executive Recruiting at (a second decacorn:) Booking.com.
Now, as Founder and CEO of Yayem, he is building a digital platform bringing together like minded individuals, with a global network of more-seekers, exceptional experiences, and enchanting spaces. Attracting hundreds of members from over 60 countries in their first year of operations, the network shares knowledge across borders.
