About Me

I grew up in wine country northern California. I got my first dirt bike when I was 4 years old. I raced amateur professional motocross from 18-23 in southern California where I learned to bartend. After destroying my body for a few years, I quit racing and used my northern California connections to become a marijuana trafficker. But a nasty oxycontin addiction eventually led to me living in my buddies cold nasty barn. After almost a year, the local rats had enough of me, so I moved to Maui and got a job bartending at Moose McGillicuddy's. But I ended up living on the beech, and 9 months later I broke my elbow when I fell off of my skateboard. Unfortunately my boss wouldn't let me bartend in a cast, so it was back to the barn again.

After a couple trips to jail, and a week at a crisis center, I moved into a sober living house in San Francisco. I got a job bartending at a sports bar in it's first few years of operation. I quickly became the head bar tender and went on to help the restaurant grow by implementing new policies, drinks, and menu items. I bartended through two SF Giants world series, multiple 49ers NFC championship games and a Superbowl, my bar was mere feet away from the America's Cup international sailing competition, and I was in a scene in the Vincen Vaughn Owen Wilson movie, The Internship. After working at the bar for a few years, I decided to become an electrical lineman.

I put myself through school, and got a job in North Dakota where I was electrocuted while working on 14,400 volts. I spent almost 4 months at the University of Utah's burn unit and I eventually lost my left hand. Fortunately I was able to buy a house in Idaho where I live today. I recently received an AA in business from the College of Western Idaho.

Through the ups and downs, triumphs, and setbacks of my journey, I have learned invaluable lessons that have shaped who I am today. I have learned the consequences of destructive habits and addiction, and the importance of seeking help and finding a path to recovery. I have witnessed the power of perseverance and adaptability, as I navigated various industries and found new opportunities. Most importantly, I have discovered the strength within myself to overcome adversity and embrace new beginnings. Life has taught me that resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in oneself can lead to unexpected transformations.

In 2022, I launched the "Too Hard For The Radio" podcast with my childhood friend and Southern California roommate, Nolan Cerveny, to share some of our crazy stories and provide our unique perspectives on the world. My experience in the motorcycle industry, business, and the war on drugs has taught me that the state has a monopoly on the legal use of violence and it doesn't exist to protect personal liberty. The state is a nuclear armed parasite that feeds off of productive individuals by stealing our money through taxes, controlling natural resources, and destroying whoever it's enemies are at the time. We cover the motorcycle industry, the war on energy production, politics, and technology. I am an avid science fiction reader and an armchair futurist. I'm a steak enthusiast, a metal head, and I've got a robot hand called The Fistatron 5000 that's worth as much as my house (before COVID), but it doesn't work most of the time.
