About Me

I'm Naomi Gale — somatic guide, author, doula and holistic pelvic health educator. For over a decade I've sat with women in the most private moments of their lives: births, postpartums, pelvic care. What I kept finding, underneath all of it, was the same thing. We were taught to ignore sensation. To push through, be fine, be good. My work is about unlearning that.

My first book was banned by Amazon for having "vagina" in the title. I fought for weeks to get it reinstated, and when it came back it was shadowbanned — invisible in search. I rebranded it, rebuilt it, and kept going. It's now called Ground Floor: On Sensation, Safety and the Parts of Us We Were Taught to Ignore.

My second book is coming out soon, (Un)reasonable Woman: One woman’s journey into doing everything right and still not fitting in. The she-exit. The burnout. The woman who was bone tired of being reasonable.

I also have an Undermothered Oracle Card deck, a monthly online women's circle, two courses in pelvic floor healing, and I'm currently completing an MA in Mythology and Folklore — from a 7.4m van in Europe, where my husband, our three home-educated children, our cat and our dog also live.

I bring honest conversation, lived experience and a decade of practice to every interview. Nothing is off limits.

Ground Floor: on vaginismus, vulvodynia, and other ways we brace

Podcast · Naomi Gale · Women's bodies were never designed for permanent survival mode. Reasonable women have done the therapy, the books, the pelvic floor work, and still do not feel a sense of home and belonging in their bodies.Vaginismus and vulvodynia are one example: a vagina that closes involuntarily. At the same time, vaginismus is just one way women brace. This podcast is for women who still feel numb, perform, over-function, hold it all.Hosted by Naomi Gale, a pelvic health educator, mother and author. Each episode moves between real conversations, named myths corrected with the evidence behind them, and the deeper question underneath: what happens when a woman stops trying to fix herself and starts trusting what her body's been saying all along. This isn't a conversation on self-help; it's a return to you: a reasonable woman in an unreasonable world. Naomi is the author of Ground Floor and The Reasonable Woman, published by nomestia. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Naturism, Nudism and Gymnosophy for the BARE-ly Curious

Podcast · Naomi Gale · Naturism for the BARE-ly Curious: Nudism & Gymnosophy. A nudist podcast show for anyone who's ever been curious about naturism. This isn't the nudist club version of naturism. It's the one where we get honest about naturism in the modern world. Each episode sits with what nudism and naturism actually feel like: the body, the freedom, the awkward moments, the surprising ordinariness of being naked once you begin. We explore BARE-ly through gymnosophy: the century-old philosophy of nakedness and wisdom that most people have never heard of. Consent, confidence, shame, curiosity, and the long, quietly radical history of people, especially women who have always explored the joy of choosing to bare all, some or nothing. You don't need to be a naturist to listen. You just need to be BARE-ly curious. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
