“Station manager & Host , Authorwave FM | Author Interviews, Books, Literature, Culture, Writing & Thought-Provoking Conversations”
I’m Nancy Smith, a Station Manager & Host with Authorwave FM , with a particular interest in books, authors, literature, culture, ideas, and the stories behind the people who create them.
I enjoy thoughtful, engaging conversations that go beyond simple promotion. I’m interested in exploring what inspired an author to write, the experiences and research behind a book, the creative decisions that shaped it, and the wider cultural, personal, or social ideas that emerge from the work.
My conversations can cover fiction and non-fiction, from literary and commercial writing to memoir, history, crime, mystery, biography, culture, and other subjects that give audiences something meaningful to discover.
I’m particularly interested in authors with distinctive perspectives, compelling personal journeys, unusual research experiences, fascinating creative processes, or books that open up wider conversations.
As a guest, I can speak about author interviews, the relationship between writers and audiences, what makes an author conversation engaging, communicating ideas through storytelling, books and culture, and the changing landscape of literary media.
I value curiosity, preparation, authenticity, and conversations that leave listeners with something memorable. I’m open to connecting with podcast hosts, interviewers, journalists, authors, publishers, and media professionals looking for an experienced voice and an informed perspective on books, writing, culture, and the author journey.
