About Me

Daughter of Nigerian immigrants, born and raised in Scotland (with a brief spell in Saudi Arabia), I have always been fascinated by the pyschology that surrounds systems of power. I was initially drawn to the criminal justice system. I worked in Brixton prison to identify unconscious bias and the impact of systemic racism on policies and procedures.and went on to become a criminal barrister.

I now work in tax law (another system with inherent issues) and started a side hustle during the pandemic, Kiltered. The name of the business comes from the word kilter, usually seen in the phrase off-kilter. So many businesses are off-kilter in their approach to diveristy and inclusion in the workplace. Kiltered uses organisational psychology and data analytics to get employers, employees and students all working together to build inclusive workplaces. Through my learnings from both professional and personal experience I consult with businesses looking to get the balance right.

The pandemic taught us that collective problems need collective approach to solutions and so Kiltered is currently bulding some tech around the offering to enhance the power of collective intelligence.
