I'm Mike Coyle, host of The Mentor Sessions podcast, where I explore the relationships, lessons, and life experiences that shape who we become.

After a career in law enforcement and a lifetime in sports—as a player, coach, and mentor—I’ve learned that our greatest lessons rarely come from titles or achievements. They come from the people who challenge us, believe in us, and walk alongside us. I’ve also learned that we honor those who shaped us by passing those lessons on to others. None of us become who we’re meant to be alone.

At 51 years old, I stepped back onto the football field for the first time in more than 30 years. What started as a personal challenge became something much bigger. The experience reignited my passion for mentorship, brotherhood, and helping others navigate life's transitions and rediscover their purpose.

Throughout my career, I've worked in corrections, court security, major crimes investigations, and leadership roles. I've also built businesses, coached athletes, and helped people navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Today, I bring those experiences to The Mentor Sessions, where I sit down with veterans, first responders, educators, faith leaders, entrepreneurs, athletes, and everyday people with extraordinary stories to answer one simple question: Who helped shape the person you became?

My conversations focus on mentorship, leadership, men's mental health, resilience, brotherhood, faith, service, and finding purpose in life's second act. I believe our greatest lessons often come from the people who believed in us, challenged us, and stood beside us when we needed them most.

I've been married to my high school sweetheart, Kristine, for more than 30 years. Together, we've raised three children and are proud grandparents to three grandchildren. When I'm not recording podcasts or coaching football, you'll usually find me on the golf course, firing up the grill, enjoying a good cigar, or talking watches over a glass of bourbon.
