I get up every morning with energy and passion that is contagious and fueled by an abundance of gratitude to be living the American dream! This includes founding a mission based business and even more importantly, the love and admiration I have for my amazing family.

I am a founder and CEO of Actaware, where we are on the mission to empower conscious consumers and impact investors with AI-driven platform democratizing access to the information. Our proprietary technology finds and organizes impact data about businesses and their products to present what is important at the decision point. With Actaware personalized scores on products and companies consumers are able to avoid hurtful products and support businesses aligned with their values. Our data APIs provide most granular and up to date information to the investment community.

My life story has always been about finding opportunities in challenging situations, dealing with scarcity, starting from nothing, improving and reinventing myself with each step of the way. I attribute great part of my success to help from very meaningful relationships I've built on the way.

I was born in a small mountain town in communist Poland. I've lost my father to cancer when I was 12, and with my mother's disability, the life on welfare checks was always challenging. My home town Szczawnica has a beautiful mountain river, where I joined whitewater slalom kayaking team. By age 14 I was on the junior national team able to support myself with a scholarship. Over the next few years I have won several national championships, finished 4th in the world championship, and made qualification for the olympic team. My kayaking career ended abruptly, when after winning Green Card Lottery I moved to USA. I landed in Chicago with few hundred dollars in my pocket, no family, no friends, just trust that this was the greatest opportunity of my life. My education in US started with evening ESL classes and 5 years later I graduated UC Berkeley. My work journey took me from a busboy, server, bartender, coach, casino card dealer, through an intern at Morgan Stanley to Director position building and managing global teams. I was fortunate to be exposed to multiple cultures while living as an expat in Budapest Hungary, Monterrey Mexico, and traveling to and building teams in India, China and Philippines.

At the end of 2022, I have decided to give up my golden cage of accelerating corporate career, with conviction that I will make much bigger impact by funding and building Actaware together with my best friend of 30 years and 6 other friends as cofounders.

Through the years we have built very powerful global network, where over 50 of our friends, ex-coworkers became Actaware cofounders, investors, and advisors, contributing their funds, time and professional experiences. We all live “Actaware life”, focused on relationships, helping, giving, sustainability, mental and physical health, continues self-improvement and mindfulness. We are building Actaware to promote the same values by leveraging AI in assisting people in their day-to-day decisions to improve their lives and the world we live in. We are building Actaware, the AI for people to fix the world.

When Russia attacked Ukraine Actaware Team created www.ActAgainstWar.com - WebApp informing consumers to scan product barcode and find whether company stopped, or continues business in Russia. Actaware has been featured on Advancements show via Bloomberg TV and Amazon Prime.

My personal life brings me even more joy and pride. I live with my wife and three daughters in the suburbs of San Francisco. We travel the world, as well as our RV across states, and all share a great love for exploration. I've continued to enjoy and expand my athletic endeavors such as dancing, cycling, running, MMA, windsurfing, diving, golfing, skiing, basketball, soccer... This powers the continuous energy required to live a full and abundant contribution focused life.
