I am a filmmaker and performer best known for producing films like GHOSTS OF THE OZARKS, 12 HOUR SHIFT, FUN SIZE HORROR: VOLUME 1 & 2 and hosting the true crime automotive show AUTO/BIOGRAPHY and its spinoff AUTO/BIOGRAPHY: COLD CASES on Motor Trend TV and Discovery Networks.
Though I love and can talk endlessly about movies and Hollywood history, my true lifelong obsession has been about mysteries. Typically true-crime but my interests are broad.
My shows for Discovery blended historical mysteries and true crime with cars. Producing those series gave me experience and confidence in a deep level of research, seeking out witnesses, obtaining police reports, etc. I now try to bring that same level of research to my podcast "A Study of Strange." There's always something more to learn, and truth and history are more interesting than fiction.
I consider myself to be knowledgeable about topics ranging from entertainment industry news, movies "making of", to true crime, serial killers, and bizarre historical mysteries.
