“A Father’s Journey to Finding Gratitude in Grief: Finding Peace After Losing a Daughter”
My name is Mark Stackpole, and while I have a few graduate degrees (EdD and MA), I am not really here as an expert in anything other that my own deeply personal experience with grief and loss. About 6 months ago, I lost my 22-year old daughter Corinne to leukemia. Amidst the heartbreak, I was surprised to also find gratitude for the life she lived and the gifts that she gave to all of us while she was here. My family and I are now navigating a new life, looking for joy and peace; our lives have definitely been transformed by grief but we refuse to live a life defined by it.
