I'm Lucy Hopkins, a numerologist, and I'm fascinated by why we are the way we are.

There are billions of us on this planet, and yet each of us is completely individual. Why do some people find things easier than others? What makes each of us so unmistakably ourselves?

That's what I love about numerology. A handful of numbers combine in extraordinarily individual ways, creating a map that is layered and unique.

The first time someone interpreted my numerology to me, I burst into tears. For the first time in my life, I felt seen.

When numerology found me, it was like being introduced to a language I was already fluent in. The understanding just clicked. So I went deeper. I studied at the College of Psychic Studies in London and continued into advanced study with numerologist Richard Abbott. I read everything I could get my hands on, compared different methods and tested them against each other. I wasn't looking for what the books said should be true. I was looking for what actually held true in real people living real, messy, complicated lives.

I started out as a closet numerologist, quietly obsessed. I've now stopped hiding it and I'm building a business from it, which at this stage of life feels both terrifying and inevitable.

I use numerology as a practical way of getting underneath all the conditioning, expectations and beliefs we've gathered along the way, and understanding who we actually are: what drives us, what we need, where we naturally thrive, the contradictions within us, and why certain patterns keep appearing.

I love conversations about numerology, self-understanding, identity, intuition, changing direction in midlife, visibility and being brave enough to be seen, and what happens when we stop trying to become somebody else, start understanding who we already are, and find the courage to live as that person.
