About Me

I am an author, nonprofit photographer and activist who has worked all over the world with countless NGOs and resilient people and who has healed from the traumatic loss of her son’s suicide thanks to a small act of kindness by a complete stranger. My upcoming book, Twentyone Olive Trees: A Mother's Walk Through the Grief of Suicide to Hope and Healing, is my personal spiritual pilgrimage from uncontrollable pain to acceptance and healing that I gift to the world to help those going through their own grief and dark moments. I chose the title Twentyone Olive Trees because my son was twenty-one when he passed away and I also intend to plant twenty-one olive trees in his honor at a healing sanctuary that I am currently creating. I have a human responsibility to teach through my book, Twentyone Olive Trees: A Mother's Walk Through the Grief of Suicide to Hope and Healing, that each one of us has the power to transform and heal ourselves and others through the practice of small acts of kindness and how they can have a ripple effect, because that is the proven science of love in action, which starts precisely here, where we are, right now.
