Hi, I’m Latrica! I sit at the unique intersection of civic leadership, storytelling, and entrepreneurship, deeply fueled by my own journey as a business owner, and parent.

As the first Black female elected to the Hamilton Southeastern School Board(winning a highly contested race with no political experience). I work on the frontlines of public education, championing disability advocacy, education equity, and student success. Beyond the board room, I’m an author of Children’s and YA books, where I blend history, humor, family dynamics and Social Emotional Learning in different stories to empower the next generation.

"In the business world, I’m a small business owner and a 30+ year specialist in health insurance and Medicare, helping families navigate complex benefit landscapes. I do all of this (balancing board governance, creative writing, and intentional parenting) while actively navigating a chronic illness. It has taught me that true leadership requires fierce boundaries and an uncompromising focus on what matters most. I bring this energy live through "The De Nada Effect," delivering real talk on resilience, dynamic leadership, and community impact."
