JOSHUA NGOMA

I’m Dr. Joshua C. Ngoma, a Zambian mining engineer, entrepreneur, former mining executive, author, speaker and African entrepreneurship-development advocate with nearly three decades of experience across mining, business leadership and enterprise development.

My career has taken me from mining engineering and executive leadership to building companies and developing initiatives focused on Africa’s next generation of entrepreneurs. I was involved in building Eyesizwe Coal, which later became part of Exxaro, and served as the founding CEO of Tranter Holdings.

Today, I am the Founder and Chief Enabler of EARN (Enterprising Africa Regional Network), where my focus is on helping create greater economic opportunity for African entrepreneurs and young people. I am particularly interested in how Africa can move beyond simply exporting raw resources and instead build businesses, institutions and value chains that create lasting prosperity locally.

My work also extends into agriculture and youth development, including initiatives designed to equip young Africans with practical entrepreneurial and agricultural skills.

I’m a strong guest for conversations around African entrepreneurship, leadership, mining and natural resources, economic development, youth employment, agriculture, business building, succession, African ownership and the future of the continent.

I enjoy thoughtful, practical conversations that challenge conventional thinking and leave listeners with ideas they can actually apply.
