Josh Galt

I grew up in the wilds of Canada with no electricity or running water, where we fished through the ice and cured salmon in our smokehouse, made fresh goat cheese from our annoying family pets, and battled with the bears for saskatoons in the spring.

As an adult, I've had a chance to travel to more than 70 countries, first as an extreme whitewater athlete and sports/lifestyle model, then playing basketball in the hinterlands of the sport in Cambodia, and in recent years, as an entrepreneur in a niche sustainable sector that might be many peoples' nightmare - insect agriculture.

My background in regenerative agriculture goes deeper though - my journey has taken me from chickens, goats, and cattle in BC, to food forests in Costa Rica, all the way to farming wild boar on an island in the middle of the Mekong river!

I've also slept in the dirt and in the lap of luxury, been kidnapped by jungle tribes and done business with foreign governments, and all while genuinely seeking to understand myself, humanity, and the spiritual underpinnings of this planet we call home.
