“First person to run the entire length of Portugal (744 km), and ultra endurance coach.”
I coach runners training for a first ultra, and runners going after a hundred-miler. Most of them have jobs, families and not enough hours in the week.
In August 2026 I ran the coastline of Portugal — 744 km in 10 days. My girlfriend Niki drove the support vehicle, ran the logistics and kept me moving. It was the second attempt at that route. Two years earlier we reached around 480 km before my immune system gave out and we stopped. The second run worked because of what the first one taught me, and most of what I have to say about endurance comes out of the gap between those two attempts.
I'm UESCA-certified, and I coach on a holistic-health model: your work, your family and the stress you're already carrying all get counted before a single session gets written. It's an unfashionable position — everything else first, the training last — but it's the only version I've seen hold up past month two.
What I'm good for on air:
I'll come prepared, I'll answer the question you actually asked, and I'd rather be specific than inspiring.
