“Den Haag FM Radio Presenter | Exploring History, Society, Culture & the Ideas Behind Today’s Most Important Questions”
I'm Jessica Mendels, a presenter with Den Haag FM in The Hague, Netherlands. I'm interested in thoughtful conversations about society, culture, history, and the ideas that help us better understand the world we live in.
Through my work in radio, I enjoy exploring the stories, research, and personal experiences behind subjects that matter. I'm particularly interested in connecting with authors whose books go beyond the headlines and invite people to look at familiar issues from a different perspective.
I'm always keen to discover nonfiction authors, historians, researchers, academics, sociologists, and other experts working on subjects such as social change, cultural identity, politics, religion, public life, science, and the history that continues to shape our present. I'm also interested in lesser-known stories and fresh perspectives that deserve a wider conversation.
For interviews, I value an open and engaging exchange rather than a rigid question-and-answer session. My aim is to give guests room to explain their work, share the thinking behind their ideas, and explore why their subject matters to people beyond their own field. I appreciate guests who can make complex topics accessible without losing the depth that makes them important.
If you're an author or researcher with a book, a body of work, or an idea that could lead to a meaningful conversation, I'd be glad to connect and learn more about it. I'm particularly interested in work that encourages curiosity, challenges assumptions, and helps listeners see a subject in a new light.
