About Me

Jessica DeLisa is an educator, speaker, and children’s book author who believes every student deserves to be seen, understood, and empowered.

As a middle school math teacher and educational leader, Jessica has spent her career exploring how educators can use data not just to measure learning, but to help students understand their own growth and take ownership of their success.

Her work focuses on building student agency, creating data-informed classrooms, and helping schools move beyond numbers to see the individual stories behind student performance.

Jessica’s passion for education is also deeply personal. Having experienced significant adversity during her own childhood, she understands the impact that caring adults, supportive environments, and opportunities for growth can have on a child’s future. Her message centers on the idea that educators can become powerful protective factors in the lives of students.

Through her speaking, writing, and classroom experiences, Jessica shares practical strategies and personal stories that inspire educators, leaders, parents, and communities to recognize potential, build belonging, and create opportunities for every learner to thrive.

Jessica is also the author of A Different Book, an interactive children’s book celebrating individuality and the message that being different is something to embrace.
