Off-Grid Homesteading

• Building my passive-solar home right now in Riverbed Ranch, Utah, an off-grid community.
• Learned to use a backhoe and then dug my septic system and underground pump house.
• I've installed a well, water tanks, septic system, solar power system, and watering system.
• Bought two greenhouse kits I plan to erect this Summer.

• Helping the founder, Philip Gleason, to find people who want to do "Social Homesteading".
• We paid a renown agricultural cooperative attorney to organize our co-op.
• We bought a 1,245 acre old alfalfa farm with 2,854 acre-feet of water rights.
• We've set aside 250 two-acre lots for off-grid, low-tech garden-farming.
• At least 33 families live there full-time now. Most telecommute over Starlink Internet.
