“Cheap Power, Hard Countries: Running a Bitcoin Mining Business in Paraguay, Argentina, the UAE & Nigeria”

About Me

Most people think Bitcoin mining is a computer problem. It's an energy problem — and increasingly a geopolitical one. I build and operate mining facilities in Paraguay, the UAE, and Nigeria, which means I spend my time at the intersection of stranded energy, frontier-market bureaucracy, and monetary policy.

In Nigeria, we run on gas that would otherwise be flared as waste. In Paraguay, it's hydro surplus a country of seven million can't consume.

I'm a Canadian who moved to the middle of it, and I'm equally happy talking about the physics of wasted energy, why capital is leaving the West to find it, or what daily life is like running an industrial business.
