About Me

To say that I am always going a million directions is an understatement. I have always had a passion for starting new businesses that not only enhances individuals lives, but also can give back to the community. My first business started in 2014 when I launched a custom socks website to assist schools, sporting groups, etc in fundraising efforts. Getting in on the ground floor of the sock craze was INSANE and we were busier then ever anticipated. The first year was incredible when, out of nowhere, I was diagnosed in the summer of 2015 with breast cancer. I did my best to keep the company running between multiple surgeries and grueling chemo treatments, until it just became too much to handle with the illness and sold the business in 2018 (for a great profit!). As my health slowly started to return I set my sights on my next passion....to help other men and women battling through cancer so I joined Bra Couture KC, raising funds for uninsured and underinsured cancer patients. Though I am still part of this incredible non-profit organization (which raised over 1/2 a million in 2023), my relentless energy had my sights set on opening a new business and this time....I went with every woman's passion.....SHOPPING! And not just any kind of shopping but discount resale shopping. In the summer of 2024 I will be opening the first resale retail store in Blue Springs Missouri where we will sell items that were previously returned to big brand stores or overstock items. This includes stores such as Amazon, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. And our pricing model couldn't be any easier....we start at $12 per item on Thursday all the way down to $1 per item on the following Monday. Check out our website at www.retailbins.com for more information.

I would love to be a guest on your podcast to, not only, promote the opening of Retail Bins but also share how we are making a positive impact on our planet. Did you know that 30% of items purchased online are returned? And that the majority of those returned items end up sitting on a shelf in a warehouse? And that if those items are not purchase by retailers, such as Retail Bins, they will be disposed of in landfills? By purchasing these returned and overstock items and reselling them to our customers, we are keeping them out of our landfills.

So truly, we are making this whole experience a 'green' way to shop! LOL

Thank you for your consideration and I hope to hear from you.
