About Me

Jason Tremko is a high school educator, U.S. Army veteran of 20 years, author, filmmaker, and multimedia content creator. He served nine years as a Recruiting Station Commander, overseeing marketing, outreach, and leadership operations across multiple regions of the United States. After retiring from the Army, Jason transitioned into education, where he currently teaches at Smoky Mountain High School and works directly with students and families on issues affecting youth culture, mental health, and decision-making.

He is the author of The Green Glitch: What’s Behind the Devil’s Lettuce?, a nonfiction investigation into the evolution of marijuana from low-THC counterculture drug to today’s high-potency, commercialized industry. Drawing from real-world classroom experience, research, and interviews, his work explores addiction science, policy gaps, and the growing disconnect between public perception and reality.

Jason is also the creator of a companion documentary film and regularly speaks to schools, churches, and community groups, combining education, storytelling, and media to spark honest conversations and practical solutions.
