I believe that music is not a luxury. It is a fundamental tool for cognitive development and social equity. As the CEO of Education Through Music, I lead the charge to ensure that children in underserved communities receive the high-quality music education as a core subject. My mission is to scale a model where the discipline of the arts serves as a catalyst for academic success and personal growth.

With a Doctorate and Master’s from Harvard and a background as a Juilliard-trained pianist, I bring a rare synthesis of academic rigor and artistic precision to the nonprofit sector. My career includes leadership roles in the Clinton and Carter administrations and as CEO of Hadassah and K.I.D.S. This "360-degree" view allows me to navigate the complexities of federal policy while maintaining a relentless focus on the individual student in the classroom.
