Jackson Cooper is a Seattle based arts professional. His podcast appearances include I'd Like to Speak with your arts manager, Movies that Made Us Gay, Keep Sweet, Strictly Speaking (NC State), Movies on the Radio (WUNC), The State of Things, and was the co-host of Scene and Screen on MIX 101.5 for two years.
A trained theatre director and conductor, his credits include productions with Theatre In The Park, Theatre Raleigh, UNC-Chapel Hill, and UNC-Greensboro. He was the Music Director/Conductor of the Durham Savoyards from 2017-2019 and was Chair of the Artistic Committee for The Justice Theatre Project from 2016-2019. During his time with JTP, he directed and conducted shows as well as served on the Artistic Director Search and Transition Committee.
He is the Major Gifts Manager in the Fundraising Department for Pacific Northwest Ballet where he is personally responsible for raising $1.4 million dollars annually. He is also Adjunct Faculty at UNC-Greensboro and an MFA in Arts Leadership candidate at Seattle University.
He is the former Theatre/Music Critic for the Greensboro News and Record and Winston Salem Journal, respectively and has contributed to:

He has lectured and taught for Duke University, North Carolina State University, The University of Washington and UNC-Greensboro.
He serves on the board of the Seattle Choruses and Seattle Arts and Culture for Antiracism. In Fall 2022, he will be nominated by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell to serve on the city’s LGBTQ Commission. He holds an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University and a BA from UNC-Greensboro.
