“Cyclist who has ridden 100,000 km through 55 countries, sharing stories of adventure, resilience, and human connection”
I'm a Canadian cyclist, adventurer, and writer who has spent the past six years exploring the world by bicycle on my own. What began as a short cycling trip gradually evolved into a lifestyle of slow travel, taking me more than 100,000 kilometres (60,000 miles) through 55 countries across North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
I travel largely without plans and don't carry a tent, choosing instead to wild camp in nature, sleep under the stars, or rely on the kindness of strangers for a place to stay. While this style of travel comes with its share of challenges, discomfort, and uncertainty, it has also given me a unique window into people's lives and cultures. From remote villages to major cities, I've experienced firsthand how generous, welcoming, and helpful people can be when given the chance. Those encounters have shaped not only my journey, but also the way I see the world.
I'm currently completing my debut travel memoir, Wild Road, Open Heart, which chronicles the first 1.5-years across North and South America. More than a story about cycling, it's a reflection on human connection, resilience, uncertainty, and the unexpected lessons that emerge when we leave room for the unknown. Through stories of adventure, hardship, and remarkable generosity, the book explores what can happen when we slow down, trust the process, and open ourselves to the world around us.
