“Psychologist helping overwhelmed leaders build resilience — informed by years spent seeing what unmanaged stress actually costs people.”
I’m a German-trained psychologist (Dipl.-Psych.) with a background most resilience coaches don’t have: traffic psychology, where I assess people’s fitness to drive again after incidents like DUIs or repeated violations. What struck me doing this work is how often unaddressed chronic stress turns out to be sitting underneath the incident itself — yet unlike alcohol or drugs, nobody’s testing for it, even though stress produces a similar kind of attentional tunnel vision.
Through START-with-Gudrun!, I coach international professionals and leaders on resilience, treating stress as something to be assessed and addressed properly, not just soothed with generic tips. I’m also planning research into objective, biomarker-based ways to measure stress reduction, building on what I’ve observed in years of fitness-to-drive assessment work.
I bring a grounded, evidence-based angle to conversations about burnout, stress, and resilience — happy to get specific and practical, and I love a good contrarian take on things people assume they already understand about stress.
